From training in boot camps to the Olympics, Obstacle Courses can be found in an array of fields. A true test of strength and athleticism, they have been used to separate the weak from the strong. The St. Patrick's Day Obstacle Course participants will be required to endure not only the physical tasks of the obstacle course, but also apply their ability to consume beer while performing. Here at the St. Patrick's Day Games the following rules will be used.

Rules

Start:

  • Teams will fill fill their team pitcher to the "Obstacle Course" fill line and equally fill 6 cups per teammate placing one at each drinking station.
  • Teams will start at the Start/Finish line.
  • On the judges signal, time will start and the teams will drink their first cup and then proceed to the first obstacle.

Obstacles:

  1. Weave - Participants must run around posts as marked.
  2. Low crawl - Participants must successfully low crawl under obstacle with out knocking over a bar.
  3. Tires - Participants must high step through tires
  4. Hurdles - Participants must jump over hurdles
  5. Gap - Participants must jump over six-foot gap
  6. Home Stretch - Final sprint to the Finish Line

Game Play

  • Participants will complete the obstacles and drink the cup after each obstacle (6 total)
  • Each obstacle must be completed and the beer drank prior to moving on to the next obstacle or penalty time will be added.
  • If an obstacle is not completed or you fall, you must restart the obstacle.
  • Each teammate must pass the Start/Finish line before the next participant may begin their turn.

Penalties

  • 30 Second Penalties
  • Spilling or skipping a cup
  • Starting prior to a teammate finishing
  • 1 Minute Penalties
  • Skipping or non-completion of an obstacle
  • Spitting out beer
  • Vomiting
